One concern I have is that we won't have more than 50 students there, since they'll actually have to pay for tickets. It might be a bit ambitious, but it would be kind of cool if we pooled together and donated money to Maroon Madness so they could offer some tickets to members, first-come-first-served.

Don't it cost them $5 bucks? Thats the same price they would pay to go to Icon or Zan or whatever else is downtown.

Yeah, I just think that 75% of the students that go to games wouldn't go if they had to pay.

I would be more excited if it were the CBI so we could play a big name. We could win this thing though. I wonder if porter could play in these games and not lose his redshirt because this isn't NCAA play.

I would assume its like the old NIT system. He who has the gold will get the home games. Between us, Creighton, and Marshall thats where most of the home games will be played.

Well this kind of sucks. If we win we probably play Creighton in the 2nd round.

But if we both win it looks like we will play them at home at least since we are a 1 and they are a 2 seed.

Playing Creighton in a non conference game would be pretty interesting.

Above that it also says "In much the same fashion as the old NIT, future opponents will be determined at the conclusion of each round throughout the tournament" So I would bet it's very doubtful that we would see Creighton until the championship

Hmm..Then why bother having a bracket at all if that's the case ?

I think the most exciting thing about the game is how many people will actually show up. Don't see the general public getting very thrilled about the match up.

Who cares, it's all about us getting the extra experience and extra wins and, hopefully, an extra banner.

At the prices they have set for tickets we only need around 2000 to show up to make money and I imagine we will have 4000+

I think for this first round we can expect in the 3800-4500 range, increasing by 2-300 for each game.

I really don't understand all those idiots bashing it on facebook (including Jerry, for goodness sake).
