what happened to the guy from Ark with the hyphated name that we were so high on at DE. I didn't see him on the roster.

At the announcement event the coaches made it sound like we got Witmer because we threw some money at him. He is a very good student with a 4.0 and a 29 ACT but the higher schools wouldn't give him "fill in money" to complete the full scholarship while we did...that is the impression I got

Total - 95

That is if they all return and qualify. I do not know how many can be on the roster.

I want to say in Division 1 its an 85 man roster. I was searching the NCAA web site but they only want to sell me a rule book to answer my question....

D1A only have 85 scholarships to offer, but they can have more on the roster. I am not 100% certain, but I thought they could have 100 on a D1A roster.

He is still listed in the student directory, but with a local address of Owasso, OK.

We saw him around last semester, so he at least came back. His status to play next year I think is still up in the air.

Witmer was offered by Nebraska-Kearney, not UNL. Rivals reported an offer to incoming freshman Joe Burgess from Nebraska, but he was never really heavily recruited by them.
