Let's win tonight boys and girls and start a little run. Obviously we have to get to 9-9 to avoid the PIG.

Comments on Joe Lunardi's blog on Insider:

What's the deal with Wichita State (11-5 MVC) and Evansville (1-15)? The Shockers need every fingernail to hang on to their NCAA tournament hopes, in part because they lost at Evansville less than two weeks ago. But instead of routing the Aces in last night's return game, Wichita blew an eight-point lead in the final two minutes of regulation. It actually took a missed free throw by an Evansville freshman to force overtime, where the Shockers eventually prevailed.

Wichita State at Utah State: This is my favorite BracketBusters game, as I think both teams are good enough to win in the NCAA tournament if they can find a way to get there. Both have InsideRPI Top 25 wins (Wichita over Northern Iowa and Utah State over BYU), but neither would likely receive an at-large bid. Saturday's loser definitely won't.

Old Dominion: The Monarchs (InsideRPI No. 41) play Friday night at Northern Iowa (No. 23). If ODU can add NIU (Hey Joe, It's UNI) to a résumé that already includes a victory at Georgetown, it should be able to survive an upset in the CAA tournament. The Panthers, meanwhile, are an NCAA team regardless.

This last statement makes Pat Forde look like the BCS Honk that he is!!

From Weekly watch at ESPN. Looks like WSU has played their way out of an ALB. Lets just hope that someone other than UNI wins in STL.

    Five At-Large Bids Gone
    • Siena: The Saints had a chance to get a quality February win which they so desperately needed. They did not. They lost at Butler. Better win that MAAC tourney.

Wichita State: The Shockers were already on thin ice when they lost at Evansville, but had some hope with Utah State on the schedule for a BracketBusters game. Losing in Logan, which everyone mostly does, means Wichita State has to win the Valley tourney to get a bid.

    • William & Mary: The Tribe are like that Ball State team from eight seasons ago that beat Kansas and UCLA in Maui but then fell flat in the MAC. The Tribe did beat Maryland and Wake Forest on the road and Richmond at home but haven't stood out enough in the CAA. Then they lost at Iona, meaning they almost certainly have to win the conference tourney.

    • Old Dominion: The Monarchs had that win at Georgetown as a chip for the selection committee but being unable to clear space atop the CAA, coupled with a BracketBuster loss at Northern Iowa, won't help.

    • George Mason and Northeastern: To complete the CAA meltdown, the Patriots and Huskies lost at home. Mason lost to the College of Charleston and Northeastern to Louisiana Tech. There is no shame in losing those games, but the losses just reiterated the point that the CAA will unfortunately be a one-bid league this season.

I've said all along the CAA is overrated. Good athletes, so they can sneak up on a BCS team early, but not quite a great team overall.

Well, in my eyes it is pretty clear cut. If Bradley wins tonight then we will probably be the 6 seed. If Bradley loses tonight then we will probably be the 5 seed...but both of these scenarios involve us winning BOTH of these games...otherwise we are in the PIG...we MUST win tonight's game!
